This free, hands-on workshop targeted at high-school/ college-level students and recent grads (but open to all!) will lead attendees through a curriculum that focuses on the craft of cinematography both as an art and a vocation. Topics covered include: changes in the art and technology of cinematography over time and how to make a career in the camera department from breaking in (i.e. “what does a focus puller or camera PA do?”) to what to do once you’ve made it. The session will close with hands on demos of current digital cinema camera set-ups.
